In cooler times, a steaming hot coffee in front of our open log fire, sitting back in the luxury of a leather lounge is just unbeatable.
History
Macarthur Grange Country Club is situated on the border of Camden and Campbelltown, in the Macarthur District of Sydney, only 35 minutes from the CBD on the M5 Freeway.
The course is a joint venture between Clem Tacca and Frank Tacca along with their families.
The land that the golf course partly occupies was used for beef cattle owned by the Taccas, but, the late Paul Tacca, Frank and Clem decided to create a unique and spectacular course on the undulating land that commands one of the best unobstructed views of the entire Sydney skyline.
The golf course sits in a horseshoe shaped valley, the holes wind their way through the hilly terrain and each hole has a distinctive character all of its own. The course is a links style layout. There are a number of blind holes and a strong emphasis on strategic shot placement. The native long rough characterizes the true links layout.
The greens are quite large with a pure putting surface, gaining a reputation as "The Best Greens in Sydney", putting the golfer's skill to the challenge.
The newly opened Clubhouse, surrounded with verandas and majestic views from all areas boasts a "State of the Art" Audio Visual and Lighting System, ideal for the most professional to the most intimate Function, Wedding, Seminar or Corporate Conference.
The Country Club has a fully licensed Italian restaurant which combined with the cozy atmosphere and magnificent views from the verandas is earmarked to be one of the best in Sydney's Southwest.
